A collision led to VLK Bucharest getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Valentino Zenati hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doru Vârșan in the 21st minute of play forced Zabala's goalkeeper Gavril Dăianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorin Obreja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinu Boc, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Dorin Obreja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinu Boc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dinu Boc to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Zabala's goal looked a bit too open when Doru Vârșan came free, but Gavril Dăianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cris Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. VLK Bucharest's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dinu Boc 68 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. Yu Jian hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Damian Gâțea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dorin Obreja read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Cris Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dorin Obreja came out and tried to block the shot, but Cris Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doru Vârșan in the 80th minute of play forced Zabala's goalkeeper Gavril Dăianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cris Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Dorin Obreja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 84 minutes, Cris Sancho made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. VLK Bucharest's Dorin Obreja tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Zabala booed when VLK Bucharest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentino Zenati didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Zabala supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Zabala would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
