A collision led to Steaua getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Adrian Gaciu hit a great ball. Sever Horia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teodor Dăianu in the 11th minute. After 11 played minutes Chetris FC got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Torouţ. Ion Neacșu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Sever Horia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodor Dăianu didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 17th minute. Steaua's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Sever Horia made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Iustinian Deșliu sent off a good shot on target. Teodor Dăianu in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sever Horia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Teodor Dăianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Horia having to interfere. With his leg Sever Horia managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Steaua's Teodor Dăianu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Iustinian Deșliu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Horia having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Iustinian Deșliu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iustinian Deșliu made a kick off. In the 56th minute of the match Steaua got a corner. Chetris FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristinel Antohi ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Cristinel Antohi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chetris FC's Sever Horia did a great save. Șerban Golescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodor Dăianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Horia having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Teodor Dăianu made a precise shot to the right of Sever Horia. Chetris FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustinian Deșliu in the 69th minute of play forced Chetris FC's goalkeeper Sever Horia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 played minutes Steaua got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Gaciu. Șerban Golescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Steaua booed when Chetris FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irinel Bobariu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Steaua's Iustinian Deșliu got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 81st minute, Steaua's Iustinian Deșliu fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Sever Horia was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. Iustinian Deșliu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Horia having to interfere. Sever Horia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustinian Deșliu in the 90th minute of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Iustinian Deșliu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Steaua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iustinian Deșliu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chetris FC's goalkeeper Sever Horia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 98th minute Steaua were awarded a corner. Cristinel Antohi went to the cornerflag to take it. Cristinel Antohi made a great header on Steaua's corner, it was just that Chetris FC's Sever Horia managed to reach the ball for a save.
