After a defensive mix-up in VLK Bucharest's zone, Teodor Dăianu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorin Obreja came out of the goal and Teodor Dăianu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filip Predoiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Salomon in the 9th minute. VLK Bucharest's Marcelo Salomon got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valentino Zenati kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 19 minutes in the game, Denis Ichim fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Filip Predoiu having to interfere. Ion Neacșu hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Marcelo Salomon put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Filip Predoiu.
