When Marian Wozniak fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jarostea AFC's protests and gave Marian Wozniak a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of U CLUJ 2007 booed when Jarostea AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marian Wozniak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marian Wozniak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aristide Oprișan hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Marian Wozniak was extremely unlucky when he, in the 29th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Mugurel Tarchilă struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Tudor Bercea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U CLUJ 2007. Avram Agudin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo De Amicis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Tudor Bercea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dacian Dumitrescu in the 57th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Jarostea AFC's Marian Wozniak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Avram Agudin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Marian Wozniak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But to his dismay, Marian Wozniak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, U CLUJ 2007's Sever Ivașcu got a free kick in the 71st minute. After 73 played minutes U CLUJ 2007 got a freekick which was hit by Nae Muscă. In a very dangerous position, a player in U CLUJ 2007 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! Aldo De Amicis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avram Agudin having to interfere. Ştefan Novac might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tudor Bercea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ştefan Novac ran back to his position shaking his head. Avram Agudin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marian Wozniak's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute Marian Wozniak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avram Agudin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Marian Wozniak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Avram Agudin. U CLUJ 2007's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marian Wozniak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Corneliu Pora could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Tudor Bercea made a huge save.
