Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cosmin Zglobiu started the match with the kick off. If Cosmin Zglobiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Chirculescu was a little too slow when Mugurel Boboc got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. Cantalaresti AS's Edgar Chirculescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Cantalaresti AS from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute, Corneliu Pora got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mugurel Boboc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Edgar Chirculescu made a huge save. 24 minutes into the game, Mugurel Boboc cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Edgar Chirculescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mugurel Boboc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Chirculescu having to interfere. Corneliu Pora might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgar Chirculescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Corneliu Pora ran back to his position shaking his head. Emilian Homeag struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Avram Agudin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cantalaresti AS. Avram Agudin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilian Homeag in the 33rd minute of play. Cosmin Zglobiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avram Agudin having to interfere. After having played for 38 minutes, Emilian Homeag managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cantalaresti AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilian Homeag was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Romeo Tâlvescu came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Cantalaresti AS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeo Tâlvescu couldn't finish the play. Emilian Homeag received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Avram Agudin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cosmin Zglobiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Corneliu Pora to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cantalaresti AS's goalkeeper Edgar Chirculescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edgar Chirculescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugurel Boboc in the 57th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Dacian Dumitrescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U CLUJ 2007's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cantalaresti AS the free kick. The supporters of Cantalaresti AS booed when U CLUJ 2007 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dacian Dumitrescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cosmin Zglobiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mugurel Boboc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, U CLUJ 2007's Avram Agudin got control of the ball when Emilian Homeag tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emilian Homeag received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Avram Agudin came out and tried to block the shot, but Emilian Homeag slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 73rd minute. Cosmin Zglobiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Avram Agudin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosmin Zglobiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Emilian Homeag had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Romeo Tâlvescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Avram Agudin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosmin Zglobiu in the 96th minute of the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. U CLUJ 2007 were victorious despite being under pressure from Cantalaresti AS for much of the match.
