Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nistor Cristache took the kick off in the first half of the match. Toader Zmărăndescu hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicu Neguțu during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th minute, Nicu Neguțu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horea Bacalu kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Angheluță in the 13th minute of play forced Matulesti's goalkeeper Dumitru Ghionaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dumitru Ghionaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Mihoc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Klausenburg getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Emanuel Chivulescu hit a great ball. Aurelian Burileanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ciprian Cercelescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 27 minutes, Fabian Angheluță managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Klausenburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Angheluță was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute Nistor Cristache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciprian Cercelescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Aron Mihoc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Klausenburg's supporters rose to their feet, but Aron Mihoc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dumitru Ghionaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nistor Cristache recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabian Angheluță was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aron Mihoc got free with Dumitru Ghionaru in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dumitru Ghionaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Angheluță in the 60th minute of play. Sergiu Gurlui charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sergiu Gurlui the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 68 played minutes Matulesti got a freekick which was hit by Sergiu Gurlui. A collision led to Matulesti getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Nicu Neguțu hit a great ball. The audience cheered loudly when Ovidiu Borza's long shot in the 71st minute became 0-1 when the ball went to the left of and passed Dumitru Ghionaru. After a defensive mix-up in Matulesti's zone, Aron Mihoc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dumitru Ghionaru came out of the goal and Aron Mihoc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Angheluță in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dumitru Ghionaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sever Tatu kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Horea Bacalu was shown his second yellow card after 80 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 83rd minute, Toader Zmărăndescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Matulesti's Felix Melinte tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Aurelian Burileanu came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Matulesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelian Burileanu couldn't finish the play. Nistor Cristache kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When Aron Mihoc came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Klausenburg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aron Mihoc couldn't finish the play. After having played for 95 minutes, Aurelian Burileanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
