Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Costică Dincă started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Monariu FCM's goalkeeper Viorel Marchiș had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonard Enășoiu. Monariu FCM's Viorel Marchiș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorin Frântu in the 4th minute of play. Costică Dincă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iulian Cristescu having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Costică Dincă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iulian Cristescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Costică Dincă's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costică Dincă in the 16th minute of play forced Mainestii FC's goalkeeper Iulian Cristescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 played minutes Mainestii FC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Axinia. Valentin Herlea's late challenge caught a Monariu FCM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentin Herlea helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes Mainestii FC got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Herlea. If Manole Brad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Monariu FCM's Costică Dincă in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mainestii FC's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paul Tiţe during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mihai Mirea was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 41st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Manole Brad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Iulian Cristescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mainestii FC's zone, Costică Dincă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iulian Cristescu came out of the goal and Costică Dincă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dorin Frântu to strike the kick off in the second half. When Gabriel Hațegan fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mainestii FC's protests and gave Gabriel Hațegan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Gabriel Hațegan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manole Brad got in the 58th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Iulian Cristescu handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Monariu FCM's goalkeeper Viorel Marchiș, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Sandu Voiculescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute Costică Dincă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iulian Cristescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paul Tiţe got his second yellow card in the match during the 69th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Paul Tiţe kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Costică Dincă in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iulian Cristescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Iulian Cristescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manole Brad in the 74th minute. After a rather tough play, Mainestii FC's Dorin Frântu got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 84th minute Costică Dincă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iulian Cristescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Leonard Enășoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Manole Brad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monariu FCM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Mainestii FC booed when Monariu FCM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manole Brad didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute, Leonard Enășoiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Monariu FCM played a much better game than Mainestii FC and deserved their victory. The Mainestii FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
