Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Octavian Nichitelea got the match started through his kick off. After 3 minutes of play, FC STEAUA Bucuresti's Adam Pumnu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Costică Bogdănescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adam Pumnu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Costică Bogdănescu having to make a save. Costică Bogdănescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornel Mortu, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 13thth minute of the game Adam Pumnu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pantoiul's Costică Bogdănescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adam Pumnu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Costică Bogdănescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costică Bogdănescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Mortu in the 19th minute of the match. Adam Pumnu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Costică Bogdănescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cornel Mortu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Adam Pumnu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC STEAUA Bucuresti's supporters rose to their feet, but Adam Pumnu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Costică Bogdănescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adam Pumnu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adam Pumnu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costică Bogdănescu having to interfere. 0-2 became the score in the 45th minute when Cornel Mortu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cornel Mortu made a kick off. Aurelian Fulga struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Costică Bogdănescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC STEAUA Bucuresti. Costică Bogdănescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornel Mortu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Adam Pumnu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adam Pumnu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Costică Bogdănescu firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 64th minute, Horea Coșereanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes in the game, Cornel Mortu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Costică Bogdănescu having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Emanuel Creangă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduard Ştefănucă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabin Nițescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Adam Pumnu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sabin Nițescu came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Pantoiul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sabin Nițescu couldn't finish the play. 81 minutes into the match, FC STEAUA Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Sabin Nițescu came free, but Eduard Ştefănucă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornel Mortu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Costică Bogdănescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as FC STEAUA Bucuresti's Cornel Mortu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Costică Bogdănescu. That made the score 0-4 after 91 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice moves Adam Pumnu could shoot a difficult shot in the 96th minute, which Costică Bogdănescu however easily saved by the left post. When the match was over FC STEAUA Bucuresti could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pantoiul throughout the match.
