Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kerim Tekcan started the match with the kick off. Kerim Tekcan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Eduard Ştefănucă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornel Mortu in the 8th minute of play forced MAGURELE ASC's goalkeeper Maxim Alungulesei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to MAGURELE ASC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Petru Dorlea hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the game, Gelu Breazu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Maxim Alungulesei. Gelu Breazu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Eduard Ignătescu kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornel Mortu in the 18th minute of play forced MAGURELE ASC's goalkeeper Maxim Alungulesei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MAGURELE ASC's Kerim Tekcan got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Eduard Ignătescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduard Ştefănucă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerim Tekcan in the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornel Mortu in the 45th minute of play forced MAGURELE ASC's goalkeeper Maxim Alungulesei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornel Mortu struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Maxim Alungulesei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC STEAUA Bucuresti. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Cornel Mortu made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Pumnu in the 52nd minute of play forced MAGURELE ASC's goalkeeper Maxim Alungulesei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Kerim Tekcan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eduard Ştefănucă made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Kerim Tekcan sent off a good shot on target. Maxim Alungulesei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornel Mortu in the 59th minute of play. Adam Pumnu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxim Alungulesei having to interfere. Maxim Alungulesei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornel Mortu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, MAGURELE ASC's Fikri Ayık got a free kick in the 64th minute. After having played for 65 minutes, Cornel Mortu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC STEAUA Bucuresti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cornel Mortu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kerim Tekcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind MAGURELE ASC's goalkeeper Maxim Alungulesei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maxim Alungulesei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Mortu in the 76th minute of the match. After 81 played minutes MAGURELE ASC got a freekick which was hit by Fikri Ayık. After 82 played minutes, FC STEAUA Bucuresti's Aurelian Fulga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maxim Alungulesei came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC STEAUA Bucuresti reached it. 85 minutes into the game, MAGURELE ASC's Kerim Tekcan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eduard Ştefănucă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Gelu Breazu's late challenge caught a MAGURELE ASC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gelu Breazu helped the player get up and apologised. Gelu Breazu kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. If Kerim Tekcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 94 minutes into the game, when Ionică Leucuța put in a rough tackle. In the 94th minute, one of MAGURELE ASC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MAGURELE ASC. In the 97th minute there was a penalty for FC STEAUA Bucuresti. Aurelian Fulga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Maxim Alungulesei. 2-1. The FC STEAUA Bucuresti players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
