The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Liviu Mavrogheni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudiu Pârcălab was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. OSK Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe's Claudiu Pârcălab played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicodim Curăreanu in the 7th minute of play. Claudiu Pârcălab took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Mavrogheni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horea Dragnea's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Octavian Filipoiu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 16th minute Nicodim Curăreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudiu Pârcălab saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dobarca's Octavian Filipoiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Dobarca from getting a goal against them. Octavian Filipoiu was a little too slow when Pavel Harhoiu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-0. The audience was convinced that Liviu Mavrogheni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudiu Pârcălab was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, OSK Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe's Gigi Bălăiță got a free kick in the 27th minute. Claudiu Pârcălab took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihnea Vădan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th match minute, Dobarca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihnea Vădan to maneuver through the defense. Eusebiu Zub made in the 39th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by OSK Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe's Vintilă Iosif. Pompiliu Stoican fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Filipoiu having to interfere. Octavian Filipoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horea Dragnea in the 45th minute of the match. Horea Dragnea received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Octavian Filipoiu came out and tried to block the shot, but Horea Dragnea slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Nicodim Curăreanu made the kick off in the second half. Horea Dragnea scored 4-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Octavian Filipoiu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 57 minutes into the match, OSK Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe's goalkeeper Claudiu Pârcălab had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iacob Zbanţ. In the 59th minute of the match Gigi Bălăiță shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octavian Filipoiu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Claudiu Pârcălab showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicodim Curăreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Dobarca's zone, Pavel Harhoiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavian Filipoiu came out of the goal and Pavel Harhoiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 70 played minutes Dobarca got a freekick which was hit by Ovidiu Costăchescu. Horea Dragnea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octavian Filipoiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Iacob Zbanţ hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, OSK Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe's Nae Mihăilă got a free kick in the 74th minute. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Nicodim Curăreanu took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Claudiu Pârcălab to make any attempt to save it. Octavian Filipoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horea Dragnea in the 83rd minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, OSK Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe's goal looked a bit too open when Nicodim Curăreanu came free, but Claudiu Pârcălab reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Liviu Mavrogheni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Dobarca's Claudiu Pârcălab threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mihnea Vădan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 96 minutes into the game, Vintilă Iosif was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. OSK Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dobarca the free kick. There was no doubt that OSK Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe were the better team. OSK Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
