The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Romeo Hrib fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Barbonța having to interfere. In the 6th match minute, Casoi AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panait Panciu to maneuver through the defense. Robert Barbonța was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Ştefan Benga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ştefan Benga really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Robert Barbonța stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorel Opriș's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Costel Stolojan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ioan Ştiubei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Casoi AS's Cristian Pantelimon got a free kick in the 21st minute. When Kuuno Virmaline came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Voriuceni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kuuno Virmaline couldn't finish the play. Kuuno Virmaline fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Barbonța having to interfere. A collision led to Casoi AS getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Cristian Pantelimon hit a great ball. Robert Barbonța made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Dorel Opriș sent off a good shot on target. Kuuno Virmaline could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Robert Barbonța made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Gabriel Tapalagă made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Romeo Hrib managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Voriuceni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeo Hrib was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kuuno Virmaline struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Robert Barbonța didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Voriuceni. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorel Opriș in the 54th minute of play forced Casoi AS's goalkeeper Robert Barbonța to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the game, one of Casoi AS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 65th minute, Ştefan Benga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costel Stolojan made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Ioan Ştiubei sent off a good shot on target. Voriuceni's Costel Stolojan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Voriuceni from getting a goal against them. Robert Barbonța went to the wrong direction when Ştefan Benga was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Casoi AS's goal looked a bit too open when Dorel Opriș came free, but Robert Barbonța reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kuuno Virmaline received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Robert Barbonța tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Voriuceni's Kuuno Virmaline nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robert Barbonța made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Kuuno Virmaline recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Casoi AS's goalkeeper Robert Barbonța, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kuuno Virmaline fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Barbonța having to interfere. 97 minutes into the game, Kuuno Virmaline was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Voriuceni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Casoi AS the free kick. In the 97th match minute, Voriuceni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kuuno Virmaline to maneuver through the defense. After 98 played minutes Casoi AS got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Tapalagă.
