After a rather tough play, Potelu CSM's Ovidiu Pătran got a free kick in the 5th minute. Gunnar Glanselius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doru Buzilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ozan Özerek's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gunnar Glanselius firmly grabbed it by the left post. 12 minutes into the match, Potelu CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Patrichi came free, but Gunnar Glanselius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Potelu CSM booed when Fc Viitorul Gurbanu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nistor Marina didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Potelu CSM's Claudio Belasko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 周霖延 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 41st match minute, Potelu CSM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moise Ivănescu to maneuver through the defense. 周霖延 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Belasko in the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Moise Ivănescu made a precise shot to the right of 周霖延. Fc Viitorul Gurbanu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Nechifor Cumpan in the 62nd minute of play forced Fc Viitorul Gurbanu's goalkeeper 周霖延 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 周霖延 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nechifor Cumpan in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Manuel Patrichi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Glanselius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gunnar Glanselius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valer Cârju, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 minutes, Claudio Belasko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Potelu CSM and the Fc Viitorul Gurbanu players grew even worse after the yellow card. Claudio Belasko got his second yellow card in the match during the 71st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Nechifor Cumpan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doru Buzilă scored 1-3 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gunnar Glanselius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Victor Horea hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nechifor Cumpan during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 95 minutes into the match, Potelu CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Ozan Özerek came free, but Gunnar Glanselius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doru Buzilă took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gunnar Glanselius. Gunnar Glanselius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Fc Viitorul Gurbanu lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
