Panait Buhăescu struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Niculae Iftode didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C Rapid Bucuresti. In the 9th minute Ion Beligan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valeriu Prodan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panait Buhăescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Niculae Iftode tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doru Şneapotă was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 14 minutes into the match. Doru Şneapotă kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, FCSM SLATINA's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Gherghescu came free, but Niculae Iftode reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th match minute, F.C Rapid Bucuresti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manole Pintea to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Ernest Negulescu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Valeriu Prodan, 2-0. 44 minutes into the match, Vlad Codin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Valeriu Prodan, 3-0. Panait Buhăescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niculae Iftode having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Ernest Negulescu made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, F.C Rapid Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Negulescu came free, but Valeriu Prodan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Valeriu Prodan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vlad Codin in the 58th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Ernest Negulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FCSM SLATINA's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernest Negulescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valeriu Prodan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st match minute, F.C Rapid Bucuresti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manole Pintea to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Andrei Beligan notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Valeriu Prodan. Valeriu Prodan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valeriu Prodan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vlad Codin, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. With a little luck, FCSM SLATINA's Niculae Iftode got control of the ball when Panait Buhăescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, FCSM SLATINA's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Gherghescu came free, but Niculae Iftode reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Manole Pintea shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 73rd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the F.C Rapid Bucuresti players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FCSM SLATINA.
