In the 24th minute, Ernest Negulescu made a precise shot to the right of Codrin Crăiță. Ghelari CF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Codrin Crăiță made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vlad Codin in the 33rd minute. Ernest Negulescu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 34th minute. FCSM SLATINA's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Vlad Codin in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Codrin Crăiță, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Iurie Pădureanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Vlad Codin came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the FCSM SLATINA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vlad Codin couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pavel Zglobiu to make the kick off. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FCSM SLATINA's goalkeeper Niculae Iftode, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Niculae Iftode took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Zglobiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niculae Iftode made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Iurie Pădureanu sent off a good shot on target. If Pavel Zglobiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FCSM SLATINA getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Ion Beligan hit a great ball. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind FCSM SLATINA's goalkeeper Niculae Iftode, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Ghelari CF's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Negulescu came free, but Codrin Crăiță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Codrin Crăiță stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernest Negulescu's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Ghelari CF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
