Filip Răduț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mădălin Axinia in the 38th minute of play. Adrian Blaj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the game, Silviu Macarie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rangers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave hleboleg the free kick. After 44 played minutes Rangers FC got a freekick which was hit by Silviu Macarie. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dorel Cotoi to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when Edgar Slătineanu put in a rough tackle. After 53 played minutes hleboleg got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Slătineanu. hleboleg's Corneliu Ungur managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dacian Chiliman in the 59 minute of the game. Eduard Vişoianu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Blaj in the 63rd minute of the match. Gelu Jurcuț's late challenge caught a hleboleg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gelu Jurcuț helped the player get up and apologised. Filip Răduț was a little too slow when Dorel Cotoi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-4. In the 74th minute Gelu Jurcuț shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Răduț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, hleboleg's Filip Răduț got control of the ball when Marcel Crușeveanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Cobzeanu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gelu Jurcuț in the 89th minute of play forced hleboleg's goalkeeper Filip Răduț to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the game, Dorel Cotoi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Filip Răduț. Dorel Cotoi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. 94 minutes into the match, hleboleg's goal looked a bit too open when Mădălin Axinia came free, but Filip Răduț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filip Răduț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorel Cotoi in the 95th minute of the match. Rangers FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
