Costin Amurăriței was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With an all-out effort, Barbosi's Valentin Blajovici threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Per Johnsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 75th minute, Radu Iorda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valentin Blajovici was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Valentin Blajovici made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per Johnsson in the 81st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nistor Encuțescu in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Costin Amurăriței prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ovidiu Isaicu fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barbosi's protests and gave Ovidiu Isaicu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Simon booed when Barbosi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidiu Isaicu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barbosi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
