Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Boroș in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robert Petruescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gigel Loghin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codrin Horodincă in the 41st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Codrin Horodincă kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gigel Loghin. That made the score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
