Studena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Steaua Bucuresti the free kick. Sergiu Niculescu shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Nae Bădilescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marian Brezeanu in the 67th minute. In the 71st minute, Ernest Maghiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sergiu Niculescu really showed his touch with that goal: 3-4. When the final whistle sounded Steaua Bucuresti left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Studena.
