Emilian Udurbac blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aurel Buculeasa having to make a save. Lucian Greblă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Aurel Buculeasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergiu Medeleanu made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Sebastian Chirea sent off a good shot on target. After 28 minutes, Horia Găvan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Acrisu AC and the Gherasesti AC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Horia Găvan kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Sebastian Chirea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romeo Feteanu struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-0 in the 39th minute. Acrisu AC's Sergiu Medeleanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Feteanu in the 44th minute of play. Sergiu Medeleanu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 45th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Romeo Feteanu made a kick off. Lucian Greblă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Acrisu AC booed when Gherasesti AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebiu Semeghin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emilian Udurbac got free with Aurel Buculeasa in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd match minute, Gherasesti AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihail Baștină to maneuver through the defense. If Lucian Greblă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Emilian Udurbac got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th match minute, Gherasesti AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebiu Semeghin to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute Lucian Greblă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurel Buculeasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Acrisu AC's zone, Sebastian Chirea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergiu Medeleanu came out of the goal and Sebastian Chirea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Acrisu AC's Aurel Buculeasa threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lucian Greblă, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
