Cosmin Dorian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Njegoslav Medvidović in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aurelian Calboreanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Dacia Unirea Braila's Horea Balcan got control of the ball when Costin Pascaru tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Dacia Unirea Braila getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Petru Hosu hit a great ball. Njegoslav Medvidović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmin Dorian having to interfere.
