The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Constantin Jităreanu made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Dobrogostea UFC's Emilian Zăvoiu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 7 minutes into the match, Dobrogostea UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Petruț Floroiu came free, but Emilian Zăvoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dobrogostea UFC's Emilian Zăvoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantin Jităreanu in the 9th minute of play. Emilian Zăvoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petruț Floroiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Ernest Marina's late challenge caught a Costis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernest Marina helped the player get up and apologised. Ernest Marina hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Gigel Niculcea hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Luca Luțu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Olteanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Dobrogostea UFC's Aron Ciorogaru got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Liviu Constantin hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Dobrogostea UFC's Aurelian Mândrilă got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emilian Zăvoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petruț Floroiu in the 31st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Costis's Mihnea Mustață got a free kick in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Costis's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelian Mândrilă came free, but Luca Luțu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emilian Zăvoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantin Jităreanu in the 38th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Costis's goalkeeper Luca Luțu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Zâncă. Luca Luțu made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Costin Sângeorzan sent off a good shot on target. Constantin Jităreanu hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Constantin Jităreanu to make the kick off. Ciprian Șeitan hit a great ball. Andrei Crăiță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Zăvoiu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Dobrogostea UFC's Costin Sângeorzan got a free kick in the 64th minute. After some careless play in the Costis defense, Emanuel Zâncă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luca Luțu. The Costis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luca Luțu should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Constantin Jităreanu in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emilian Zăvoiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Emanuel Zâncă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. After a rather tough play, Costis's Mihnea Mustață got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 84th match minute, Dobrogostea UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihai Florescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute of the match Octav Condescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emilian Zăvoiu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Emanuel Zâncă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuel Zâncă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Zâncă in the 94th minute of play forced Costis's goalkeeper Luca Luțu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
