After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Felix Hâncu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Razoare's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Hâncu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sever Caramitru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sever Caramitru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodor Bărbat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sever Caramitru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Hâncu, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After 8 played minutes Fc Farul 1983 got a freekick which was hit by Albert Ostoici. Fc Farul 1983's Sever Caramitru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodor Bărbat in the 9th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gică Lucan in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iurie Zbârciog prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gică Lucan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Zbârciog having to interfere. When Gică Lucan came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Fc Farul 1983 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gică Lucan couldn't finish the play. 23 minutes into the game, Gică Lucan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Iurie Zbârciog was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dorin Burdujan hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Gică Lucan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iurie Zbârciog was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Gică Lucan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gică Lucan really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Sever Caramitru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodor Bărbat in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Felix Hâncu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sever Caramitru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iurie Zbârciog made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Gică Lucan sent off a good shot on target. Iurie Zbârciog made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corneliu Şteţ in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gică Lucan to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Razoare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Bute to maneuver through the defense. Iurie Zbârciog stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gică Lucan's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. With a little luck, Fc Farul 1983's Sever Caramitru got control of the ball when Felix Hâncu tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gică Lucan in the 66th minute of play forced Razoare's goalkeeper Iurie Zbârciog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute of the match, Teodor Bărbat tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sever Caramitru saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 73rd minute, Gică Lucan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sever Caramitru stood somewhat misplaced when Dorin Burdujan came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 76 minute. In the 78th match minute, Razoare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cătălin Papadache to maneuver through the defense. The Fc Farul 1983 fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Fc Farul 1983's Gică Lucan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 88 minutes, Corneliu Şteţ managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Farul 1983's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corneliu Şteţ was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gică Lucan scored 5-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iurie Zbârciog, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fc Farul 1983's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
