Ernest Vlaicu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 3rdth minute, Cristian Hritcu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ernest Vlaicu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mugurel Gheondea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Ianculescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Iliesi's Mugurel Gheondea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Ianculescu in the 45th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Ernest Vlaicu made a precise shot to the right of Cristian Hritcu. Catane CS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernest Vlaicu to make the kick off. After 79 minutes of play, Iliesi's Ernest Vlaicu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Hritcu was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Maghiar in the 92nd minute of play forced Catane CS's goalkeeper Cristian Hritcu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernest Vlaicu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Cristian Hritcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
