Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Niculae Ciorăscu made the kick off and thus started the match. Mugurel Gheondea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niculae Ciorăscu in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute, Anton Anghelescu made a precise shot to the right of Mugurel Gheondea. Iliesi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Mugur Iftode came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Iliesi's Ernest Vlaicu. But to his dismay, Ernest Vlaicu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Ernest Vlaicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute Ernest Vlaicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Iftode saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ovidiu Manciu during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Iliesi booed when Pihnesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidiu Manciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Anton Anghelescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mugurel Gheondea was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After having played for 29 minutes, Ernest Vlaicu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iliesi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernest Vlaicu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ernest Vlaicu struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Mugur Iftode didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iliesi. When Iliesi's Ernest Vlaicu in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pihnesti's goalie prevented a goal. In the 41st minute, Aurelian Uncuţă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mugur Iftode showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Vlaicu in the 44th minute of the match. Ernest Vlaicu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Mugur Iftode tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernest Vlaicu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes of play Pihnesti's Ovidiu Manciu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 58th minute, Ovidiu Manciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pihnesti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Ernest Vlaicu scored to the left of an out of position Mugur Iftode, making the score, 3-2. Martin Zogreanu kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Iliesi's Ernest Vlaicu tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Iliesi's Ernest Vlaicu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 76th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When Ernest Vlaicu came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Iliesi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernest Vlaicu couldn't finish the play. Ernest Vlaicu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Corneliu Armeanca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugur Iftode having to interfere. Ernest Vlaicu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Mugur Iftode when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mugur Iftode made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Ernest Vlaicu sent off a good shot on target. Aurelian Uncuţă charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurelian Uncuţă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Pihnesti booed when Iliesi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelian Uncuţă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iliesi's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
