After the first half Vacareni were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robert Ghițulescu to make the kick off. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Horaţiu Cudalb the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Vacareni protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Horaţiu Cudalb had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch.
