The Ovidiu CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. REAL18 GALATI's Ion Constantinescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosmin Răduța in the 10th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Leonard Sitaru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ilie Iuonaș charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Cosmin Răduța was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. Ovidiu CF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a little luck, REAL18 GALATI's Ion Constantinescu got control of the ball when Corneliu Stan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cosmin Răduța sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Horea Cârnațiu made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Cristinel Jitaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cosmin Răduța sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ion Constantinescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horea Cârnațiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Mircea Novacovici tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
