In the 4th minute, Stangaceaua CF's Petruț Braru dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 10 minutes, Aurel Cocârlă made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Stangaceaua CF's Traian Lucaci tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Stangaceaua CF defense, Aurel Cocârlă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Traian Lucaci. The Stangaceaua CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Traian Lucaci should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Aurel Cocârlă managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Boteni's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurel Cocârlă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Traian Lucaci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sven-Erik Allbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Traian Lucaci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nichifor Neața during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sven-Erik Allbom struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Traian Lucaci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. After recieving a nice pass, FC Boteni's Paul Luca tried to score from far away in the 63rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Traian Lucaci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Erik Allbom in the 65th minute. Angelo Txurio replaced Mateus Cârstea. Mugur Dănănae's late challenge caught a FC Boteni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mugur Dănănae helped the player get up and apologised. After 73 played minutes Stangaceaua CF got a freekick which was hit by Mugur Dănănae. A collision led to FC Boteni getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Horia Bălțăteanu hit a great ball. Liviu Gănescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gigi Agulescu went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 86th match minute, Stangaceaua CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Șeitan to maneuver through the defense. In the 96thth minute of the game Sabin Ştiubei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stangaceaua CF's Traian Lucaci was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Stangaceaua CF could leave the field as winners, despite FC Boteni having more of the ball for most of the match.
