The Teghesul FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that George Mateescu should have stopped the shot. If Gabriel Mârza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Virgil Dănciulescu took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Mateescu. George Mateescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Mârza in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck George Mateescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. George Mateescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Mârza in the 12th minute of play. Virgil Dănciulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Teghesul FC's George Mateescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Mârza in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Homocea booed when Teghesul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horea Dulfu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Mădălin Reznic was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Homocea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Teghesul FC the free kick. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Teghesul FC's goalkeeper George Mateescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Silviu Pupăzan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Nechifor Iuga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Mârza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Mateescu having to interfere. Costin Jurcuț kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The Teghesul FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Homocea were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Constantin Nastac was the one to do the kick off. Teghesul FC's George Mateescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Mârza in the 53rd minute of play. Horea Dulfu kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Teghesul FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Homocea the free kick. In the 69th match minute, Teghesul FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurențiu Chesaru to maneuver through the defense. George Mateescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Mârza in the 73rd minute of the match. George Mateescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Mârza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A beautiful save bye Homocea's goalie prevented a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Homocea had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
