Marian Popoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabin Tutuianu, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the game, CS Nadia's Robert Radulescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marian Popoiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Sabin Tutuianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. CS Nadia's Sabin Tutuianu got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Radulescu in the 46th minute of play forced Steaua FC Iasi's goalkeeper Marian Popoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When David Vârlan fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CS Nadia's protests and gave David Vârlan a yellow card for diving instead. CS Nadia's Horea Zamfira got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Steaua FC Iasi's Marian Popoiu got control of the ball when Sabin Tutuianu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 72 played minutes CS Nadia got a freekick which was hit by Horea Zamfira. With his leg Marian Popoiu managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when CS Nadia's Sabin Tutuianu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sabin Tutuianu got free with Marian Popoiu in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 82 minutes into the match, Sabin Tutuianu notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Steaua FC Iasi's Marian Popoiu. Marian Popoiu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ionel Manolescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. 崔凌荣 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toader Cristoiu kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The Steaua FC Iasi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CS Nadia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
