Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. George Eftimiu started the match with the kick off. George Eftimiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 10 minutes, Marcel Văidianu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Petrolul Ploiesti and the Burnaz FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ionică Bulgar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Eftimiu in the 14th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Matei Ruşdea in the 18th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Burnaz FC's Lucian Cârstoiu. Ionică Bulgar made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Călin Vanghelie sent off a good shot on target. 1-0 became the score in the 21st minute when George Eftimiu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Petrolul Ploiesti fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! Ionică Bulgar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George Eftimiu's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Ionică Bulgar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Eftimiu in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Petrolul Ploiesti's Basarab Tremurici got a free kick in the 34th minute. Ionică Bulgar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Eftimiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Ilie Encescu hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as George Eftimiu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ionică Bulgar. That made the score 3-0 in the 42 minute of play. FC Petrolul Ploiesti's goalkeeper couldn't reach when George Eftimiu 45 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by George Eftimiu in the 54th minute of play forced FC Petrolul Ploiesti's goalkeeper Ionică Bulgar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Burnaz FC's goalkeeper Alin Dridu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Petrolul Ploiesti's Ionică Bulgar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Eftimiu in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th match minute, FC Petrolul Ploiesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Tatulici to maneuver through the defense. Burnaz FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Iustin Iureș scored to the left of an out of position Alin Dridu, making the score, 4-1. Liviu Cămătaru kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. George Eftimiu scored 5-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ionică Bulgar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 73rd minute Gică Mirciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionică Bulgar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denis Serafo hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After 78 played minutes Burnaz FC got a freekick which was hit by Lucian Cârstoiu. Iustin Iureș might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alin Dridu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iustin Iureș ran back to his position shaking his head. Burnaz FC's Alin Dridu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilie Encescu in the 81st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Burnaz FC's zone, Ilie Encescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alin Dridu came out of the goal and Ilie Encescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Petrolul Ploiesti's Ionică Bulgar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Vanghelie in the 95th minute of play. Burnaz FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
