In the 3rd minute Nicu Giosu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristinel Negara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Călin Stroia took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Taribo West. Taribo West dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Cristinel Negara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doru Mitrea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduard Cornoiu kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Liviu Necșulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Taribo West tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costel Secară kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. If Călin Stroia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristinel Negara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicu Giosu in the 23rd minute of the match. Doru Mitrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cristinel Negara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Costel Secară hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Călin Stroia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicu Giosu struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Cristinel Negara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ajax. In the 36th minute, Eduard Boia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristinel Negara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicu Giosu, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Ajax's Narcis Povară couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Beslii. With a little luck, Ajax's Taribo West got control of the ball when Călin Stroia tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Doru Mitrea to strike the kick off in the second half. Nicu Giosu scored 1-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristinel Negara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ajax's Taribo West played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Stroia in the 56th minute of play. Liviu Necșulescu took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Taribo West. Taribo West dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 64th match minute, Ajax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Arghir to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Călin Stroia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Doru Mitrea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristinel Negara having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Liviu Necșulescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Liviu Necșulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beslii's supporters rose to their feet, but Liviu Necșulescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Taribo West breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute Liviu Necșulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taribo West saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Liviu Necșulescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eduard Boia hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, Beslii's goal looked a bit too open when Doru Mitrea came free, but Cristinel Negara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A beautiful save bye Beslii's goalie prevented a goal. 96 minutes into the match, Beslii's Liviu Necșulescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Taribo West narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
