With a left leg Liviu Boieraș saved Cirnesti from getting behind. After some careless play in the Cirnesti defense, Iurie Maniu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Liviu Boieraș. The Cirnesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Liviu Boieraș should have stopped the shot. A collision led to FC Brasov getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Stelian Neicu hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the game, Aristide Berechet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cirnesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Brasov the free kick. In the 17th minute, Aristide Berechet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 24 minutes, Ilie Daria mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cirnesti and the FC Brasov players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ilie Daria hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Doru Teofil in the 26th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Liviu Boieraș's left hand side. FC Brasov's Iurie Maniu got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aurel Pârvulescu during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Liviu Boieraș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florin Costea in the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Cirnesti's goal looked a bit too open when Florin Costea came free, but Liviu Boieraș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iurie Maniu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Liviu Boieraș having to make a save. Liviu Boieraș was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Iurie Maniu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iurie Maniu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Cirnesti's Liviu Boieraș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florin Costea in the 84th minute of play. Liviu Boieraș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Maniu in the 85th minute of play. Iurie Maniu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Liviu Boieraș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liviu Boieraș was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Florin Costea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 91 minute of play.
