In the 17th minute Irinel Hosu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionuț Murgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ştefan Pascaru was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aurel Pârvulescu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. When Stelian Neicu fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Brasov's protests and gave Stelian Neicu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Brasov booed when Huda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moise Brumă didn't get a good kick on the ball.
