Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Cristian Vaştag made the kick off and thus started the match. Marian Aldea struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Eugen Ştefulescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Debrecen RO. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolae Buciu in the 12th minute of play forced Debrecen RO's goalkeeper Traian Croitoru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicolae Buciu in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Traian Croitoru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 14 minutes into the match, Debrecen RO's goal looked a bit too open when Marin Cigu came free, but Traian Croitoru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Vaştag sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Lupoaia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Ştefulescu having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Nicolae Buciu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stavropoleos AS's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolae Buciu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Traian Croitoru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Codruț Bratoloveanu during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Traian Croitoru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Cigu in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Marin Cigu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stavropoleos AS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Traian Croitoru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Cigu in the 38th minute of play. Traian Croitoru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolae Buciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Marin Cigu came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Stavropoleos AS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marin Cigu couldn't finish the play. If Marin Cigu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Debrecen RO's goalkeeper Traian Croitoru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Victor Lupoaia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Stavropoleos AS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd match minute, Debrecen RO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ion Bulgar to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute Nicolae Buciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Traian Croitoru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Stavropoleos AS's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Vaştag came free, but Eugen Ştefulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marin Cigu came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Traian Croitoru could save by the left post. 70 minutes into the match, Marin Cigu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Traian Croitoru. Debrecen RO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marin Cigu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some careless play in the Debrecen RO defense, Codruț Bratoloveanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Traian Croitoru. The Debrecen RO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Traian Croitoru should have stopped the shot. Dragoş Melinescu charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dragoş Melinescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Debrecen RO! In the 81st minute Nicolae Buciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Traian Croitoru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 82 minutes, Marin Cigu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stavropoleos AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marin Cigu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Stavropoleos AS's Nicolae Buciu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Traian Croitoru. Traian Croitoru yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. With a little luck, Debrecen RO's Traian Croitoru got control of the ball when Marin Cigu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 98th minute, Marian Aldea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Debrecen RO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Stavropoleos AS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
