Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Iurie Suşu made the kick off which started today's match. Dragoş Melinescu hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 4th minute, Sergiu Slavici sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Debrecen RO's Traian Croitoru didn't even have to move. In the 5th match minute, Debrecen RO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ion Bulgar to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 6 minutes, George Luncanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Steaua Bucuresti's supporters crossed their fingers, but George Luncanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. George Luncanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Traian Croitoru when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Traian Croitoru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Luncanu in the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Cornel Vrânceanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. George Luncanus short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Traian Croitoru to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When George Luncanu, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 18 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Traian Croitoru was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Eliodor Podgoreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Vaştag, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Traian Croitoru made an important save on a dangerous shot by George Luncanu in the 24th minute. The Steaua Bucuresti fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Steaua Bucuresti's Ionuț Ciorănescu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ionuț Ciorănescus short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Traian Croitoru to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eliodor Podgoreanu came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Debrecen RO's Victor Lupoaia. But to his dismay, Victor Lupoaia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. George Luncanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Traian Croitoru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliodor Podgoreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Vaştag in the 40th minute of the match. Iurie Suşu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Ionuț Ciorănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Steaua Bucuresti's supporters rose to their feet, but Ionuț Ciorănescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Traian Croitoru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristian Vaştag made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Adrian Ghioane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adrian Ghioane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Traian Croitoru having to interfere. 57 minutes into the game, Marian Aldea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Debrecen RO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Steaua Bucuresti the free kick. Marian Aldea kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrian Ghioane in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Traian Croitoru saved Debrecen RO from getting behind. Traian Croitoru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Luncanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ionuț Ciorănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steaua Bucuresti's Adrian Ghioane got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Traian Croitoru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Ghioane in the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionuț Ciorănescu in the 77th minute of play forced Debrecen RO's goalkeeper Traian Croitoru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Steaua Bucuresti fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! Narcis Conta walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Iurie Suşu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Traian Croitoru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Iurie Suşu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Traian Croitoru was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ionuț Ciorănescu in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Traian Croitoru saved Debrecen RO from getting behind. In the 97th minute, Adrian Ghioane ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Traian Croitoru was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1.
