Dinu Luțu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Liviu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narcis Tomoiu in the 41st minute of play forced FC UNIREA Custelnic's goalkeeper Dan Liviu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Narcis Tomoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Filiasi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narcis Tomoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filiasi's Dinu Luțu got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nechifor Onaca was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Valer Chifan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC UNIREA Custelnic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valer Chifan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC UNIREA Custelnic's goalkeeper Dan Liviu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC UNIREA Custelnic's Gavril Cristian got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Dan Liviu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dinu Luțu in the 58th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC UNIREA Custelnic's zone, Narcis Tomoiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Liviu came out of the goal and Narcis Tomoiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute, Narcis Tomoiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dan Liviu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Eduard Turdeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nechifor Onaca, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. If Dinu Luțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narcis Tomoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dan Latarețu hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. FC UNIREA Custelnic's Nechifor Onaca got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Dinu Luțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Narcis Tomoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valer Chifan in the 91st minute of play forced Filiasi's goalkeeper Eduard Turdeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nechifor Onaca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduard Turdeanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
