FC POLI's Ovidiu Gologan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save FC POLI from getting a goal against them. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucian Prezan to make the kick off. 59 minutes into the game, Bobohalma FCM's Mugur Gheară nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ovidiu Gologan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. George Onișoru's late challenge caught a FC POLI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. George Onișoru helped the player get up and apologised. 67 minutes into the match, FC POLI's Filip Luțu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luca Trifănucă narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nichifor Bungeanus short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Luca Trifănucă to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mugur Gheară might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ovidiu Gologan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mugur Gheară ran back to his position shaking his head. Lucian Prezan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidiu Gologan having to interfere. Fabian Cernescu charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabian Cernescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bobohalma FCM's Fabian Cernescu got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Filip Luțu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Lucian Prezan sped through FC POLI's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ovidiu Gologan. The audience was convinced that Pompiliu Mazăre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ovidiu Gologan was relentless in the 94th minute of the game.
