Pompiliu Mazăre charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pompiliu Mazăre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Red White Flame booed when Bobohalma FCM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pompiliu Mazăre didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the game, one of Bobohalma FCM:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 12 minutes into the game, Mugur Gheară cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Mihai Ailenei was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17th minute, Bobohalma FCM's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Laurențiu Zafiu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Laurențiu Zafiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Mugur Gheară managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bobohalma FCM's supporters rose to their feet, but Mugur Gheară was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihai Ailenei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mihai Ailenei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Prezan in the 35th minute of play. Laurențiu Zafiu struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Luca Trifănucă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Red White Flame.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mihail Brezeanu was the one to do the kick off. Mugur Gheară could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Mihai Ailenei made a huge save. Mihai Ailenei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucian Prezan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihail Brezeanu in the 62nd minute of play forced Bobohalma FCM's goalkeeper Luca Trifănucă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Laurențiu Zafiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lucian Prezan came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Bobohalma FCM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucian Prezan couldn't finish the play. Lucian Prezan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lucian Prezan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
