After a rather tough play, Buzau CSS's Gavril Buhuș got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 29 minutes into the game, Pavel Baldu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buzau CSS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RealBarca the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Buzau CSS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! Alexandru Zota shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Denis Ştefănuţ struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Gelu Dulgherescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RealBarca. In the 38thth minute of the game Cosmin Răducu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RealBarca's Martin Stroia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Iustin Ghiciușca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Stroia having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, RealBarca's goalkeeper Martin Stroia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iustin Ghiciușca. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Gelu Dulgherescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valeriu Ţintă, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Cosmin Răducu scored 2-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martin Stroia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustin Ghiciușca in the 63rd minute of play forced RealBarca's goalkeeper Martin Stroia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iustin Ghiciușca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Buzau CSS's zone, Leontin Gheban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gelu Dulgherescu came out of the goal and Leontin Gheban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Costică Brezoi hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute, Valeriu Ţintă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cosmin Răducu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Stroia having to interfere. Buzau CSS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
