If Cosmin Răducu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavril Borăscu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gavril Borăscu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Gelu Dulgherescu made a huge save. Gavril Borăscu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Gelu Dulgherescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gavril Borăscu got free with Gelu Dulgherescu in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Buzau CSS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gavril Borăscu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Buzau CSS's Gelu Dulgherescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Buzau CSS from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Buzau CSS's Gelu Dulgherescu got control of the ball when Gavril Borăscu tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Gavril Borăscu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gelu Dulgherescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Nacu in the 43rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Buzau CSS's Gelu Dulgherescu got control of the ball when Gavril Borăscu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 52nd minute Gavril Borăscu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gelu Dulgherescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gelu Dulgherescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavril Borăscu, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Iustin Ghiciușca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Flavius Varga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cosmin Răducu scored 0-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flavius Varga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 63 minutes into the game, Bozias's Tiberiu Nacu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gelu Dulgherescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ştefan Bitănescu kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Gavril Borăscu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 played minutes Buzau CSS got a freekick which was hit by Costică Brezoi. In the 86th minute Tiberiu Nacu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gelu Dulgherescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bozias's Gelu Obregia got a free kick in the 88th minute. Flavius Varga made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Iustin Ghiciușca sent off a good shot on target. Gavril Borăscu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gelu Dulgherescu having to interfere. Lucian Obregia struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Gelu Dulgherescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bozias. Chants of Buzau CSS echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Bozias had held the ball for most of the match.
