Fc.Steaua's Ciprian Tătăruşanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costin Gliga in the 19th minute of play. Tudor Petrin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Henrich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costin Gliga hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the game, Cornel Vladimirescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Tudor Petrin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Biharia CF's Codruț Cimpoieru got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Henrich's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Tudor Petrin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 38 minutes, Gavril Popilean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Biharia CF and the Fc.Steaua players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 played minutes Biharia CF got a freekick which was hit by Gavril Popilean. Ciprian Tătăruşanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codruț Cimpoieru, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute, Costin Gliga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Henrich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costin Gliga's late challenge caught a Fc.Steaua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Costin Gliga helped the player get up and apologised. When Pavel Duldurescu fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc.Steaua's protests and gave Pavel Duldurescu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Fc.Steaua getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Pavel Duldurescu hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorge Henrich to strike the kick off in the second half. If Jorge Henrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Damian Bîlbă kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Jorge Henrich's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tudor Petrin was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Jorge Henrich sped through Biharia CF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tudor Petrin. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Henrich in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tudor Petrin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 65th minute, Jorge Henrich left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fc.Steaua fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. When Jorge Henrich came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Fc.Steaua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Henrich couldn't finish the play. Damian Prunaru struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Tudor Petrin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc.Steaua. Fc.Steaua's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Costin Gliga 71 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 5-1. Tudor Petrin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Vladimirescu in the 77th minute of the match. Tudor Petrin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge Henrich went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isac Tăbăcaru during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd match minute, Fc.Steaua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isac Tăbăcaru to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute of the match Lucrețiu Dimofte shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ciprian Tătăruşanu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 84th minute Jorge Henrich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Petrin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Henrich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Petrin having to interfere. A collision led to Biharia CF getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Costin Gliga hit a great ball.
