After having played for 7 minutes, Jim Grall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Brasov's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jim Grall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ştefan Onciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viorel Nandriș, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 11th minute of the match, Viorel Nandriș tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ştefan Onciu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Brasov's zone, Cazimir Florei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leontin Maghiar came out of the goal and Cazimir Florei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brasov booed when Red&Blue FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petru Izvoranu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viorel Nandriș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leontin Maghiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Nedelea in the 41st minute of the match. Leontin Maghiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petru Izvoranu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viorel Nandriș to make the kick off. In the 62ndth minute of the game Martin Nedelea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. Brasov's Leontin Maghiar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Viorel Nandriș's late challenge caught a Red&Blue FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viorel Nandriș helped the player get up and apologised. Viorel Nandriș hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the game, Cornel Lăceanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red&Blue FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. Brasov the free kick. A collision led to Red&Blue FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Cornel Lăceanu hit a great ball. Ştefan Onciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Grall, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Ştefan Onciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viorel Nandriș in the 83rd minute of play. When Aristide Ipătescu fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. Brasov's protests and gave Aristide Ipătescu a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The F.C. Brasov fans cheered their team off the field, for while Red&Blue FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
