The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Virgil Morozan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nichifor Rușanu hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Cosmin Perșa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gigel Marchiș read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute Ovidiu Necșulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Marchiș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cosmin Perșa in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gigel Marchiș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nichifor Rușanu during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC STEAUA ADJ getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Nichifor Rușanu hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Cosmin Perșa put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gigel Marchiș. After a defensive mix-up in FC STEAUA ADJ's zone, Cosmin Perșa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gigel Marchiș came out of the goal and Cosmin Perșa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fc. Sin's Cosmin Perșa got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ovidiu Necșulescu came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Fc. Sin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovidiu Necșulescu couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iacob Azamfirei was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Fc. Sin's Petrică Busuioc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gigel Marchiș narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ovidiu Necșulescus short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Gigel Marchiș to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to FC STEAUA ADJ getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Gabriel Lupu hit a great ball. In the 55th minute of the match Cosmin Perșa shot from a long distance. After 59 minutes, Ilie Verzeanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fc. Sin and the FC STEAUA ADJ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 60 played minutes, FC STEAUA ADJ's Nistor Curuțiu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Virgil Morozan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC STEAUA ADJ reached it. Ovidiu Necșulescu hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Petrică Busuioc kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After 72 minutes of play, Fc. Sin's Ovidiu Necșulescu made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gigel Marchiș was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Mihail Tufescu came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the FC STEAUA ADJ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihail Tufescu couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Petrică Busuioc during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 81 minutes into the match, Iacob Azamfirei notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Fc. Sin's Virgil Morozan. Virgil Morozan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Fc. Sin booed when FC STEAUA ADJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Lupu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fc. Sin's Cosmin Perșa got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC STEAUA ADJ's Gigel Marchiș proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save FC STEAUA ADJ from getting a goal against them. Fc. Sin's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
