Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Lupoi got the match started through his kick off. Daniel Lupoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Teişanu having to interfere. The supporters of Costana CS booed when Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Beșleaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nechifor Ciorobîtcă was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Albert Boian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Bogdan Teişanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Costana CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Bărbuceanu to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Adam Bălanescu in the 24th minute really tested Bogdan Teişanu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, Old Boys's Albert Elefterescu got a free kick in the 24th minute. Cristian Bărbuceanu charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristian Bărbuceanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Old Boys's Mihail Magheran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Popeangă in the 38th minute of play. Mihail Magheran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Bărbuceanu's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Albert Elefterescu kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Mihail Magheran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Popeangă in the 43rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Marian Popeangă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costana CS's supporters rose to their feet, but Marian Popeangă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihail Magheran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mihail Magheran was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Marian Popeangă capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marian Popeangă really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Marian Popeangă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Mihail Magheran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Marian Popeangă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mihail Magheran was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. The Costana CS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. If Marian Popeangă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Grigore Ghelmegean during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nichifor Olteanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Costana CS's Marius Albulescu got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
