Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Andrei Oncescu started the match with the kick off. In the 9th minute Florin Muslea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurel Gogea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, STEAUA 1980's Aurel Gogea got control of the ball when Andrei Oncescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of STEAUA 1980 booed when UFC Cetan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dumitru Aluncai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Cînu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Chira, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. With his leg Aurel Gogea managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when UFC Cetan's Andrei Oncescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dumitru Aluncai charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dumitru Aluncai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dumitru Aluncai hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ilie Ardeleanu got free with Aurel Gogea in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paul Jurăscu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Andrei Oncescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in STEAUA 1980's zone, Florin Muslea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurel Gogea came out of the goal and Florin Muslea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Laurențiu Chira struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Sebastian Cînu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for STEAUA 1980. After having played for 53 minutes, Andrei Oncescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UFC Cetan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrei Oncescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurel Gogea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilie Ardeleanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th match minute, STEAUA 1980 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cazimir Manolache to maneuver through the defense. Aurel Gogea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrei Oncescu went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. STEAUA 1980's Aurel Gogea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilie Ardeleanu in the 71st minute of play. Aurel Gogea came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by UFC Cetan's Florin Muslea. But to his dismay, Florin Muslea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind STEAUA 1980's goalkeeper Aurel Gogea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Andrei Oncescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UFC Cetan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. UFC Cetan's Andrei Oncescu got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd match minute, STEAUA 1980 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Cismaș to maneuver through the defense. When Andrei Oncescu came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the UFC Cetan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrei Oncescu couldn't finish the play.
