Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cornel Istrate kicked off to start the match. Niculae Mironov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Dobrinescu in the 2nd minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, KIcKeR's goal looked a bit too open when Gică Dobrinescu came free, but Niculae Mironov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornel Istrate struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Dorin Gliga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KIcKeR. 0-1 became the score in the 10th minute when Gică Dobrinescu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Dorin Gliga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Mazăre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Universitatea Craiova's Dorin Gliga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save FC Universitatea Craiova from getting a goal against them. Gigel Mazăre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Dorin Gliga made a huge save. KIcKeR's Niculae Mironov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Van Persia in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of FC Universitatea Craiova booed when KIcKeR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantin Romulus didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, FC Universitatea Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Constantin Romulus came free, but Dorin Gliga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niculae Mironov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Dobrinescu in the 35th minute of play. With 39 minutes on the clock, Narcis Bornescu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 44 played minutes KIcKeR got a freekick which was hit by Constantin Romulus. Niculae Mironov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gică Dobrinescu in the 45th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gică Dobrinescu made a kick off. If Gică Dobrinescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, FC Universitatea Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Mazăre came free, but Dorin Gliga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorin Gliga came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by KIcKeR's Cornel Istrate. But to his dismay, Cornel Istrate quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Dorin Gliga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigel Mazăre in the 59th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Cornel Istrate ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dorin Gliga was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. When FC Universitatea Craiova's Gică Dobrinescu in 73 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Niculae Mironov guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. FC Universitatea Craiova's Dorin Gliga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornel Istrate in the 74th minute of play. Dorin Gliga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigel Mazăre in the 76th minute of the match. Ştefan Hurmuz made in the 79th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cornel Istrate. FC Universitatea Craiova's Dorin Gliga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigel Mazăre in the 80th minute of play. If Gică Dobrinescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gică Dobrinescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niculae Mironov having to interfere. Gică Dobrinescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Niculae Mironov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, FC Universitatea Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Mazăre came free, but Dorin Gliga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. KIcKeR's Niculae Mironov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gică Dobrinescu in the 93rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornel Istrate in the 94th minute of play forced FC Universitatea Craiova's goalkeeper Dorin Gliga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Universitatea Craiova players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for KIcKeR.
