In the 16th match minute, Piscolt FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nichifor Semeghin to maneuver through the defense. Flavius Moțoc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucian Şiman in the 19th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Iosif Nedelcea got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flavius Moțoc quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petter Hjortsberg in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavius Moțoc saved Piscolt FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Piscolt FC's George Hurmuzache got a free kick in the 24th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Piscolt FC's zone, Ryszard Gall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavius Moțoc came out of the goal and Ryszard Gall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of CCA STEAUA BUCURESTI booed when Piscolt FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pompiliu Borza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Vali Arnăutu managed to get in a good position for a shot. CCA STEAUA BUCURESTI's supporters rose to their feet, but Vali Arnăutu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavius Moțoc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pavel Ghita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavius Moțoc having to interfere. Flavius Moțoc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petter Hjortsberg in the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to Piscolt FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. George Hurmuzache hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vali Arnăutu in the 38th minute of play forced Piscolt FC's goalkeeper Flavius Moțoc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ryszard Gall took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavius Moțoc. Flavius Moțoc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, CCA STEAUA BUCURESTI's Lucian Şiman got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sorin Papadache to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sorin Papadache in the 52nd minute of play forced CCA STEAUA BUCURESTI's goalkeeper Edgar Boia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to CCA STEAUA BUCURESTI getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Vali Arnăutu hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Sorin Papadache managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piscolt FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sorin Papadache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavius Moțoc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edgar Boia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bogdan Văduva's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Edgar Boia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sorin Papadache in the 65th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Sorin Papadache made a precise shot to the right of Edgar Boia. CCA STEAUA BUCURESTI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After having played for 74 minutes, Bogdan Văduva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piscolt FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bogdan Văduva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Sorin Papadache cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Edgar Boia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bogdan Văduva took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Boia. Edgar Boia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Flavius Moțoc made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Vali Arnăutu sent off a good shot on target. After 87 played minutes Piscolt FC got a freekick which was hit by Nichifor Semeghin. Flavius Moțoc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ryszard Gall's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. With his leg Flavius Moțoc managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when CCA STEAUA BUCURESTI's Vali Arnăutu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
