Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) UFC RAPID's Costin Claudiescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cătălin Sandu during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th minute, Costin Claudiescu made a precise shot to the right of Marin Fărcașu. FC. Vegas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Marin Fărcașu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Costin Claudiescu's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. In the 15th minute Horea Cârnu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irinel Roşulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marin Fărcașu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costin Claudiescu in the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of UFC RAPID booed when FC. Vegas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Tătăruşanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrei Ghiurutan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Irinel Roşulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horea Cârnu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valer Mârza hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Marin Fărcașu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Costin Claudiescu's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Irinel Roşulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horea Cârnu in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Costin Claudiescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UFC RAPID's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costin Claudiescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andrei Ghiurutan to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Costin Claudiescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marin Fărcașu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 58 minutes into the match, FC. Vegas's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Claudiescu came free, but Marin Fărcașu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd match minute, FC. Vegas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantin Rotariu to maneuver through the defense. UFC RAPID's Costin Claudiescu got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Costin Claudiescu scored 4-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marin Fărcașu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as FC. Vegas's Horea Cârnu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Irinel Roşulescu. That made the score 4-2 after 71 minutes of play. After 75 played minutes FC. Vegas got a freekick which was hit by Iordache Cutieru. Irinel Roşulescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gelu Moscu went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. Marin Fărcașu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costin Claudiescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Marin Fărcașu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Costin Claudiescu's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, Costică Pantea had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Leonard Tătăruşanu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 90 minutes had been played. Leonard Tătăruşanu kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horea Cârnu in the 95th minute of play forced UFC RAPID's goalkeeper Irinel Roşulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the UFC RAPID players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
