After 15 minutes, Leonard Tătăruşanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC. Vegas and the FC Gloria Marasesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC. Vegas's Leonard Tătăruşanu got a free kick in the 15th minute. Viorel Burtescu kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Gigel Pantilimon was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Andrei Ghiurutan. Andrei Ghiurutan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Gigel Pantilimon made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horea Cârnu in the 25th minute of play forced FC Gloria Marasesti's goalkeeper Gigel Pantilimon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, FC. Vegas's Gelu Moscu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gigel Pantilimon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Andrei Ghiurutan took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gigel Pantilimon. Augustin Sitaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marin Fărcașu having to interfere. Horea Cârnu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Gigel Pantilimon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gică Harhoiu to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Horea Cârnu put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gigel Pantilimon. Gică Harhoiu charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gică Harhoiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gică Harhoiu got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, FC Gloria Marasesti's Gică Harhoiu got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Gloria Marasesti's zone, Horea Cârnu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gigel Pantilimon came out of the goal and Horea Cârnu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Andrei Ghiurutan came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the FC. Vegas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrei Ghiurutan couldn't finish the play. In the 86thth minute of the game Andrei Ghiurutan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Gloria Marasesti's Gigel Pantilimon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gigel Pantilimon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrei Ghiurutan, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. FC Gloria Marasesti's Constantin Ghișe got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC. Vegas fully deserved thier win.
