Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Republica Ploiești's Nicu Zberea started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Vasile Stoica dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ioan Chesaru, 1-0. In the 9th minute, Vasile Stoica made a precise shot to the right of Ioan Chesaru. FCU CRAIOVA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Ioan Chesaru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vasile Stoica in the 12th minute. Ioan Chesaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Luțu in the 13th minute of play. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Nicu Zberea sped through FCU CRAIOVA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ioan Chesaru. In the 16th match minute, FCU CRAIOVA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Enache to maneuver through the defense. In the 18thth minute of the game Lucian Luțu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FCU CRAIOVA's Ioan Chesaru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Republica Ploiești booed when FCU CRAIOVA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cezar Sima didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FCU CRAIOVA's zone, Valentin Potopea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ioan Chesaru came out of the goal and Valentin Potopea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ioan Chesaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucian Luțu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, FCU CRAIOVA's goal looked a bit too open when Nicu Zberea came free, but Ioan Chesaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vasile Stoica scored 6-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ioan Chesaru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FCU CRAIOVA's Ioan Chesaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Stoica in the 37th minute of play. Ioan Chesaru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicu Zberea in the 38th minute. Nicu Zberea scored 7-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ioan Chesaru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gavril Nistor during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Gavril Nistor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FCU CRAIOVA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Vasile Stoica scored to the left of an out of position Ioan Chesaru, making the score, 8-0. In the 47th minute, Republica Ploiești's Nicu Zberea dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 9-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 9-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iurie Urderean to make the kick off. Nicu Zberea took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ioan Chesaru. Ioan Chesaru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. After a defensive mix-up in FCU CRAIOVA's zone, Nicu Zberea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ioan Chesaru came out of the goal and Nicu Zberea tried to chip the ball over his head. FCU CRAIOVA's Ioan Chesaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Stoica in the 66th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, FCU CRAIOVA's goal looked a bit too open when Lucian Luțu came free, but Ioan Chesaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The coaching staff of FCU CRAIOVA protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Moise Jurăscu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Ioan Chesaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicu Zberea, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute Lucian Luțu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ioan Chesaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ioan Chesaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicu Zberea in the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Nicu Zberea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ioan Chesaru was frozen by the shot and now it was 13-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Republica Ploiești fully deserved thier win.
